When Working With a Search Firm: Remember the common goal at hand – growing a strong company with the very best talent!
Expectations:
Our experience has taught us that we work hard from the initiation of every search to ensure both recruiter and client (you) understands and respects the expectations that each of us has for the other. With that in mind we have put together an outline of "Terms and conditions" for working with us. Our agreement is on our website
In short:
- We work exclusively on your search assignment.
- Our fees don’t change and are established prior to our engagement. You will know going into each and every search what our fees are. This helps with departmental budgets & for client peace of mind.
- Our fee is based on the mid-point of the candidate’s first year compensation.
- Our referrals are valid for 24 months.
What do we expect?
- That you keep all information about our candidates confidential.
- Take the time to accurately discuss the search and provide us with as much detail as possible. If you have company brochures, annual reports or other information that helps us to discuss the opportunity with your company, send it to us.
- When we profile candidates, you give us feedback on all we present in a timely manner (even if you are not interested this helps us fine-tune our search for you, which in turn helps save your time, and ours and ultimately keeping expenses to a minimum).
- Let us know if there are any specific questions or additional pertinent information you would like to have on candidates we profile.
- Stay on the timelines established and keep us informed of your schedule (i.e., if you will be unavailable for extended periods of time).
Successful Suggestions
Put together a time line for hiring. When do you expect to have the candidate on board? Can all of the people who need to be involved in the interview process be available in that time frame? Set up times that you know everyone would be available to interview.
Give us specific dates, it gives us targets, we prioritize your position and ultimately, you get better results. We want to make sure that the candidates understand the time frame involved so that they don't lose interest or think that you have lost interest in them. Time, when it is not properly managed, can damage even the best hires.
The most important factor is communication; if we keep good lines of communication everyone wins!
