Detailed process timelines establish deadlines for you and the candidates; allowing you to go back to work, and giving the candidates confirmation that indeed, the opportunity is now.


                              Here's a sample timeline:
                              Position: Vice President of Sales & Business Development (Pharmaceuticals)


                              January 2: Position description and candidate specifications guidelines completed. Client promotional material received. Target list of companies developed by search professional and approved by client. Search process begins.

                              February 2: Research complete; direct recruiting and face-to-face interviewing by search professional. Profiles completed by selected candidates.

                              February 7: Candidate profiles and Mackenzie’s summary reviewed by client; 3-5 candidates (short list) chosen for interviews.

                              February 12 - 14: First round of interviews completed.

                              February 17 – 21: Second and third round of interviews completed.

                              February 23: Offer extended to candidate of choice.

                              February 24 -25: Offer accepted, and candidate resigns from position.

                              March 5: New employment begins.
