RETAINED FEE STRUCTURE

It takes a real partnership to get results that work. Our experience tells us that clear, open communication and agreement between the client and the Mackenzie Search Group, helps create the kind of synergy required for successful search and placement. Our Retained fees are flat, fixed, milestone-driven and less than the much larger nationally recognized firms, as we do not charge on total compensation. Bottomline: We must deliver to earn our fees. Read our guarantee below.

Summary of Agreement:
Guarantee Period: 150 Days
Exclusive Period:  150 Days

Flat Fee Defined: Our flat fee is determined by the mid-point of the salary range, not total cash compensation, never changes based on hire-in salaries, and is a true win-win.

Example: Salary range: $100-$150K. Mid-point is: $125k; fee is based on $125k @ 25% of Salary range.

Exclusive Search:
The client agrees not to give the assignment to another search firm, or hire through any source other than the Mackenzie Search Group, during the exclusive period. If you hire a candidate from another source during the course of the exclusive period, Mackenzie Search Group will be entitled to its total search fee. The exclusive period begins when you have signed the Summary Agreement, made the first retainer payment, and instruct the Mackenzie Search Group to begin the search. If Mackenzie Search and the client agree to continue work beyond the exclusive period, a new exclusive period will begin (no additional payment). The process can be repeated as often as the client requires.

Costs and Expenses Advanced:
Mackenzie Search Group will advance the client the costs and expenses associated with the search. Costs and Expenses includes, but is not limited to: Mackenzie Search Group travel; candidate travel; food and lodging; long distance telephone calls; or reference checks which go beyond normal verification. You will receive an itemized list of the expenses on a monthly basis that are payable upon receipt. Costs and expenses are in addition to the search fee. All travel by Mackenzie Search will be pre-authorized by client and all arrangements will be made via clients travel department prior to any related travel.

Client Collaboration:
The client agrees to make principals and other personnel available for telephone conferences or candidate interviews when scheduled. You (client) also agree to supply a complete and accurate job description, including compensation and benefits and annual reports. These elements will contribute to the achievement of a successful and timely outcome for search and placement of the appropriate candidate.

Guaranteed Performance:
Mackenzie Search Group guarantees that any candidate you hire under the terms of this agreement will not terminate employment voluntarily, or be discharged due to misconduct or unsatisfactory performance (determined in accordance with reasonable standards), during the course of the guarantee period. If the unforeseen happens under these circumstances, Mackenzie Search will repeat the entire search process with no additional fees incurred by the client, except for costs and expenses. This is your exclusive remedy under your guarantee. You will not be entitled to a refund of fees, costs or expenses. Mackenzie Search Group shall not be liable for any compensatory, or other, damages resulting from employment of the candidate.
The client agrees to deny any claim to refund of fees, costs and expenses under these conditions:
1) Contracting with any sources, other than the Mackenzie Search Group, for search and placement of the position
2) Principals and other personnel are unavailable for telephone conferences and candidate interviews
3) Provide a complete and accurate job description, compensation and benefits are not available; or the search is cancelled before the exclusive search period has expired.

The client agrees to sign a new agreement and pay an additional fee if the position or job description changes materially. The client agrees to compensate the Mackenzie Search Group for the entire search fee plus expenses previously agreed upon, under these conditions: Any candidate who is hired as a result of Mackenzie Search Groups' referral, within two years of the date upon which the client was advised by Mackenzie Search Group of the candidates availability. This includes any subsidiary, affiliate or related company of the client.

Active Guarantee:
Mackenzie Search Groups guarantee will remain active for as long as the client elects to abide by the agreement. The only requirements are these:
1) Final fee payment is made in accordance with the schedule;
2) The final costs and expenses invoice is paid upon receipt; and
3) Notification to Mackenzie Search within five working days of the employee's termination.

FEE STRUCTURE:
We customize our services to fit your needs and budget thru our menu of services:

FULL EXECUTIVE SEARCH (milestone driven)
Comprised of the elements of traditional retained search, this option includes face-to-face interviews and written post-interview reports. The fee for this option is 33-1/3 percent of the mid-point of employee's first year's cash compensation, plus direct expenses payable at 3 milestone intervals. The fee schedule for fully retained search: 1/3 to initiate the search, 1/3 upon interview, and the final 1/3 upon acceptance of employment offer.

CANDIDATE DEVELOPMENT:
We penetrate the market resulting in resumes of qualified prospects, which are then delivered to you. You conduct the initial face-to-face interview and proceed with the selection process when you choose to do so. The fee for this option is 17 percent of the mid-point of the employee's first year's cash compensation, plus direct expenses. The fee schedule for this level is 50% upfront to initiate project and remainder plus expenses upon delivery of candidate profiles.

UNLIMITED CANDIDATE DEVELEOPMENT:
Great for national expansion or duplicate/redundant positions. One fee, unlimited hires. Hire as many candidates as you wish from the candidate slate we provide. Flat monthly fee for a minimum of 3months, first month upfront to initiate search, 2nd due at 31st day, 3rd due @ 60th day. Can be extended past 3months as needed per project.

HOURLY SEARCH: when you need us only to perform our services for a limited amount of time. Minimum of 100 hours.
